Life Update +Pregnant Style- One Item I Can’t Live Without

Hi Guys!
Excited to be writing my first blog post for 2017,  I hope you all are having a fabulous start to the new year. Just to give you a little update on my life – we had to give away Frankie this week.. Our vet/ very good friend found her a loving home who had just lost their dog 6 months ago.. When we had brought Frankie into our home at the end of July we didn’t think we would be having any more babies so it all made sense.

Given the circumstances, having  2 dogs + a 2 year old is a lot of work and I can’t imagine adding a newborn into the mix with it all. Frankie was the type of dog that was super hyper and she needed to be with a family that had older kids.

Last Thursday I was playing on the couch with Frankie and Jake and while Frankie was teething & biting Jake got in her face and she nipped him under his eye.  It was then I realized that we had to give her away..  It’s been a tough week but I am starting to feel more relieved like we made the right decision.  I of course miss her so much – we used to cuddle so much.  Chester – our other dog – is feeling like the king again and playing with Jake like he used to.  Poor Jake keeps on asking about her and I say to him in Spanish that she went to live in another house and he just repeats what I say.. I hope he stops asking me soon – it breaks my heart!!

Anyways back to the one item I can’t live without while preggers – it’s a denim long sleeve button down top which I wear opened! It’s the most versatile piece because you can wear it with black jeans + booties to go out, or you can wear it during the day with workout pants and a tank underneath.  If you are going to purchase one while pregnant you don’t have to buy a maternity brand or size since you will be wearing it opened.  I included 5 of my favorite button down denim tops ranging in all prices here:

My Outfit:
Tank: Splendid
Denim Top: Splendid
Jeans: Ag Jeans Maternity
Shoes: Balenciaga
Bag (Similar): Nordstrom
Sunglasses: Oliver Peoples
Choker: Baublebar

Hope you hall have a fab weekend.

2016 Quick Review!

Hi Guys! I can’t believe it’s December 30th – another year has gone by so fast.. Some of my favorite memories of 2016 are:
~Jake started walking at 13 months – such a game changer!
~Jake starting school- he has totally become a different person. He can play more by himself now and has become super outgoing and loves being around people! Totally sounds like Chase right?!
~ We transitioned Jake into a bed after he made it clear to us by throwing up in his crib he was over the crib at 18 months!
~ Trip to Italy with Chase was incredible – my favorite part was going to Borgo Santo Pietro in Tuscany – I highly recommend it..
~ Adding another dog member to our family even though it was a huge pain in the ass to train her (still in the process). She’s so loving and cuddly! I can’t imagine our family without her.
~ Shooting for my blog – it’s a lot of hard work pulling together outfits but totally worth it when the pictures come back and I receive feedback from you all.. I have absolutely loved each and every collaboration!
~ Being featured in Elle Magazine for their September issue.
~ Being pregnant again! We feel so blessed.

Hope everyone is safe and has a happy new year!

Thank you for your support!

Affordable Faux Leather Maternity Leggings

Hi Guys!
Hope you had a fabulous weekend! We were in Dallas celebrating a wedding that was TOO much fun! It’s always so nice to go home and have something exciting to celebrate. It was really cool to be back at the hotel where Chase and I got married almost five years ago – brought back great memories.

Anyways back to these AMAZING affordable leggings by Seraphine Maternity – they are $75 and so comfortable.  I am in love with the brand Seraphine, I feel like they have such amazing pieces that are affordable and wearable – the perfect combo.

This top doesn’t even look maternity – I can’t wait to style it with jeans next – it’s super flattering and what I love most about it is that it’s a thickish material so you can’t see through the top, which is really important when wearing it with maternity jeans. You can wear it with sneakers or heels.

If you have been paying attention to what’s in (style wise) you will have noticed that leather leggings are so in for Winter/Spring!  However they can be super pricey.  These are the perfect leggings that will get me thru my pregnancy and I love the material. They are stretchy enough to fit for the next five months.  The leggings look a lot more expensive than what they are, so if you are preggers I really encourage you to purchase these, you will love them!  Also – if you have any specific styling questions don’t ever hesitate to email me directly at jenny@wearitwellmiami.com.

So I have some news to share and it’s been really hard to keep it a secret!! If you’ve been following along my blog you will remember I posted my ‘getting pregnant story’ last Mother’s Day…

We really did feel so lucky to have had Jake after two cycles of IVF and only one embryo later. We always dreamed for Jake to have a sibling.  We decided to do another cycle of IVF this past May but it didn’t work – after retriveing 4 eggs – 2 fertilized but none survived through day 5.

It was then that we decided to put having another baby behind us.. We felt so blessed to have Jake and we had convinced ourselves that we were done.  We are happy with our healthy baby boy! Because I had chemo in my 20s my egg quality is poor, therefore when did another cycle of IVF back in May we didn’t get results.  This is the same reason why three years ago when I did my first two cycles of IVF I only got one embryo.

Chase and I took a trip to Italy in July and really cleared our heads and we were in a great place! For the first time ever I was excited to go to the countryside and not do much – just hang out by the pool and drink lots of wine!

We then got Frankie in July – our miniature poodle who is too cute for words and who really filled our house with so much love..

At the end of July I went to lunch with two girlfriends – both of whom were pregnant and I told them then that my period was late, but I didn’t think anything of it.  I remember September 1 my husband was throwing a little dinner for his firm and he had told me to take an uber so we could drink and have a good time.. What I didn’t tell him was that my period was late – and I am normally never late!

So I ran out and got a pregancy test – of course I got the cheapest one – I thought what a waste of money… I peed on the stick- and it said pregnant!! The reason I’ve been keeping it quiet is because Chase and I are both carriers of an Ashkenazi genetic gene so I had to get a CVS at 11 weeks and waited an then entire month to find out if the baby is healthy..

This is a long way of saying that we are expecting a baby girl due May 2nd!! When I point to my belly and ask Jake what’s in there he says “baby”.. it melts my heart!

We are beyond excited and I can’t wait to start showing you my maternity style.. I really that hope this story inspires those who are trying – wear something sexy, let your hair down, drink, and have fun!
