Dressing the Bump During Summer…

First of all- if you are expecting a huge congrats! You are going through such an exciting time of your life, it’s a 9 month journey and i’m here to help you dress the bump for the summer.

When I was pregnant with Jake I didn’t really have the extra money to spend on maternity clothes- I also always thought it was a huge waste of money to spend on maternity pieces given you only wear them for 9 months. However, I did splurge on ONE pair of denim.

My pregnancy was a whole different story with Chloe- because of Zika. I lived in long sleeve and long pants and ended up buying around 4 pairs of jeans- one black, one white, and two pairs of denim.

I think jeans are the most important piece when preggers and it’s ok to splurge on a couple of great denim. My favorite way to wear my denim on casual days was to pair it with a tight tank top and an opened button down top. There are different styles of jeans you can get- and I am personally not a fan of the denim with the side stretch low rise- I just never thought it was that comfortable. I like the denim with the band that goes over your belly, I just find it to be more comfortable and you can wear them as your belly grows.

Dresses are such a great way to dress the bump and such an easy thing to throw on- you can dress them up or down, depending on where you are going! During the summer heat they are also the best thing to wear because they are airy. All of the dresses that I linked are able to be worn after your pregnancy as well.

Lets be real here- the most comfortable thing to wear are leggings- and I wore the most amazing pair that I still wear to this day.. They go over your bump or you can roll them down. Eventually as your bump gets bigger you can tuck a tee into the legging.

During my pregnancy with Jake when I was around 30 weeks I had a hard time walking- because of the pressure, so I lived in Birkenstocks- to this day I wear them. I rarely wore heels and if I did it was a tiny kitten heel. BUT if you can wear heels and be comfortable go for it. Shop below must haves during your pregnancy!

Walking into the Week Hoping For a Baby!

Hi Guys!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! We had a very low key weekend- didn’t go into labor unfortunately! I felt nauseous on Saturday night and was getting a lot of braxton hicks but no real real contractions. So ready to have this baby and I can’t believe my actual due date is tomorrow! So excited and hoping it happens very soon.. I have a doctor appointment on Tuesday so I will keep you all posted as to what is going on.

I am really thankful that this baby has been able to cook full term- I recently read an article published by Today about a mother who was talking about the fact that she hates those stick figure families people put on their rear windows because it was very difficult for her to carry babies to full term and ended up losing four babies. But that if she were to have the stick figures on her car she would have to include angels for those she lost. I try to just be super thankful and know she will come when she’s ready.

Onto the outfit- it’s simple and chic. These shoes I actually got for my first Mother’s Day two years ago and I still love them just as much as the first day I got them. They are so comfortable, sexy, and chic! There are so many different color options you can get today but i’m loving blue because it’s pretty neutral and adds that pop of color to any outfit.

Hope you all have a great week!

Pop Of Red

Hi Guys!
Hope you all had a great weekend! We pretty much relaxed and didn’t have many plans. We went to a really fun birthday party on Saturday for the sister of one of Jake’s friends and then kept it very low key. It’s so cute that Jake has a best friend now! They are so cute and totally obsessed with each other:) They just yell each other’s name and run around non-stop!

We watched Hidden Figures which was really good but the type of movie I would have rather seen in the theater then at home! I can’t believe racism existed like that – so beyond unacceptable.

Onto the outfit: This red blazer is everything! I am totally obsessed and I apologize in advance because I’m going to be wearing it a lot. It’s the perfect material for spring/summer because it’s light!  Also you can’t never go wrong with a pop of color especially red because it really gives your outfit that pop.

I’ll be 39 week tomorrow and I have a doctor appointment today – can’t wait to see what the deal is!

Twirling in this Denim Jacket Look

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  Chase and I saw Lion on Saturday night on Apple Tv – highly recommend it if you haven’t seen it yet.  Such an amazing story of a child who gets lost on a train and is adopted by a family in Australia.  We were both in major tears!

This afternoon I have a 38 week check-up- it’s getting so close!!!  I think Jake knows what’s coming- when he lays down he likes to lay on my belly and it melts my heart.

Onto the outfit: This is by far one of my favorite “maternity looks” so i’m super excited to share it with you all. I have been living in these white maternity jeans, stripe top, and denim jacket. The denim jacket is 30% off until tonight with code “BFF30.”. What I love about this denim jacket is that you can pair it with white jeans and black jeans and even with a dress.  If you pair it with a dress it will give your outfit that cool hipster look. It’s pretty over-sized so I opted for the xs.  Shop the look here:

37 Week Update, Weekend Sales, & New Outfit Post

Hi Guys!
I seriously can’t believe it’s already mid April.. Where has the time gone? I feel like this pregnancy is going by much quicker because I don’t have time to think about it. I’m super ready- but of course would like to wait until 38.5 weeks or 39 weeks to have this baby girl. I had a 37 week check-up this week and everything is looking good, ie the heartbeat was fine, my blood pressure was normal and I continue to gain weight.. It’s so hard seeing the scale go up- even though I know it’s because I’m pregnant and you’re supposed to gain weight it’s still really hard to imagine all of the weight that I have gained. When I step on the scale I always take off my shoes! HA as if that helps.. I have been staying active the entire time- last week was my last time going to pilates. I started to feel a little light headed and figured it was time to stop. Now i’m just walking when I can taking trips to the mall which is indoors and air conditoned.

Anyways onto the outfit! This stripe dress is so cute and non-maternity so you can totally wear it after (I’m in a size medium). I love the stripes and the laced up side hem.. I paired it with my leopard Golden Goose sneakers- i’m obsessed with stripes and leopard I think it’s such a cool combo. My drape sweater is the perfect transition piece because it’s so light and I love that it has the faux suede drape collar, really make the piece unique.

Dress: Stripe
Sweater: Drape faux suede

Weekend Sales: The denim jacket I have been living in is currently 30% off with code “bff30” here!  Obsessed with this off the shoulder ruffle dress which is currently 30% off with code “FRIENDS” here.  Found these platform espadrille sneakers for more then 50% off with code “BOGO” that are on my wishlist here.  I have been eyeing these pom pom storage baskets for a while for the babies rooms and they are 20% off with code “FRIENDS” here, which means it’s time to buy them!  This off the shoulder tie sleeve top is currently 50% off with code “SPRING50” and is perfect for spring/summer.

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Most Flattering Way to Dress While Preggers

Hi!
Happy Friday – Hope you have had a wonderful week! My parents were here in the beginning of the week which was so nice! They are amazing with Jake and he’s obsessed with them. For the first time in what seems like forever, Chase and I don’t have any plans this weekend. I’m so looking forward to just chilling. It’s getting harder to sit at long dinners – I just don’t have the patience:( Yesterday was 89 degrees so now dressing for zika is getting harder and more uncomfortable. Sorry if it seems I’m complaining – I am super lucky to be pregnant in the first place – but the humidity in Miami is getting bad.. I can’t wait to live in shorts and sandals!

Onto the outfit: I find that when you’re really pregnant, and I mean really pregnant in terms of showing (like 28 + weeks), the most flattering thing to wear is a blazer because it elongates your body. I found this one on sale for 30% off and I loved the detailing on it. What I love so much about it is the detailing lace in the back and sleeves. It’s such a modern take on a blazer. You can dress the blazer up or down depending on where you are going. Here I paired it with black skinny jeans, my white sneakers, and a white tee that I have been living in. I’ve been living in this tee because not only because it is super soft but it’s also long enough to cover my belly since it’s maternity. I wanted to show a more casual way of wearing this blazer so I paired it with a casual tee and sneakers. Throw on a pair of heels and it’s perfect for a date night.

Since the blazer has a lot going on I kept the rest of the outfit simple and didn’t introduce any colors to my outfit. It’s better to keep the main focus on the blazer or else it becomes too busy. I could have added a choker to this look to accessorize it more.

I am usually not a fan of wearing such tight clothing but I find that when you have a belly it starts to become much more flattering to wear tight clothing or you just look big.

Tee: White v-neck

Have a great weekend!

35 Week Update & Running into the Weekend in this Denim Jacket Look

Hi Guys!
Hope you all have had a wonderful week! The beginning of the week was a little stressful because Chase had a huge trial and he was working super late.. But it was all worth it because his firm won! I actually went to the trial on Monday morning to observe – which was really cool.

I had my 35-week checkup yesterday and I gained three pounds in two weeks which puts me at exactly one pound over what I was weighing when I was pregnant with Jake. The doc took the swab for the Group B Stress infection which was super fast and not painful and then he checked for heartbeat and blood pressure … the usual. I got the Whooping Cough shot because you’re supposed to get it I believe from 30-36 weeks. So everything is going well – I’m just starting to feel slightly uncomfortable and large!  Of course the doctor has no idea when I’ll have this baby.. I am hoping for 38.5- 39 weeks!

Anyways onto the outfit – I am obsessed with this top from Helmut Lang with the open sides, I clearly can’t show the sides since my high-waist maternity jeans and belly aren’t the most flattering at the moment. BUT after I have this baby girl I’ll be wearing this top NON stop. I’m obsessed because it’s sexy yet reserved at the same time .. because it’s a high neck more of a tunic tee. It’s a little on the on the pricey side but I have already worn it about five times and plan on wearing it so much more! I paired it with my black maternity jeans and silver Common Projects along with my over-sized denim jacket.

If you haven’t found a denim jacket I highly recommend this one from Seven Jeans. Yes it’s pricey but you can get it for 25% off this weekend at Splendid in Aventura Mall on Saturday from 12-4! Come and see me at the store from 12-2. I’ll be showing you my favorite spring pieces and style you in what’s flattering for your body type. If you don’t live in Miami you can always call the store during the time I’m there.

Perfect Tee for a Huge Belly

Hey Guys!
Hope you all had a fabulous weekend! We went to Blue Ribbon Sushi in South Beach which was super yummy on Friday night, the only problem was that all of the sushi looked DELIC and I couldn’t eat any of it:( I stuck with the corn on the cobb, fried rice, and fried chicken. I would totally recommend it.. Miami is getting super cool- we’re getting really great restaurants and not to mention the expansion in Aventura Mall! We are getting a Zara and Topshop. I always love Zara because they have such high fashion pieces at a fraction of the cost.

Onto the outfit. I am wearing the most comfy grey tee that actually fits because it’s maternity. It’s called the short sleeve Drape top by Ingrid & Isabel and has the comfiest fabric. I’m wearing a size xs so it runs pretty large. I’m having such a hard time these days finding stuff to wear since I really haven’t bought any maternity tops. What I have in my closet that used to be oversize are tiny now! What i’m wearing a lot of these days are the Splendid tanks with maternity jeans and of course athleisure wear. PS- i’m doing an event at Splendid in Aventura Mall this Saturday from 12-2, come and be styled by me!

I wanted to dress up the tee so I added Aquazzura biege heels that are so comfy along with my Iro jacket and red Chanel bag. You can shop the similar look below and please let me know if there is something in particular you would like me to blog about in the next couple of weeks.

Styling the Perfect White Button Maternity Top

Hope you are all having a great week. Yay for Friday- it’s kind off been the longest week ever! We have a baby naming on Saturday morning and keeping it pretty much low key for the rest of the weekend. Chase has a trial on Monday so I’ll be chilling with Jake most of the weekend! I can’t believe I am 34 weeks preggers!  I somehow got bit by a mosquito on Wednesday so now I have to get my 5th Zika test – so over it! I have to wait until next Wednesday to get tested as it takes about one week to get into your system. Anyways onto the outfit:

When Isabella Oliver reached out to me I immediately was drawn to this white button down top because if you’ve been following along my blog you will have noticed that every button down top I’m currently wearing has to be left open since it doesn’t fit closed. So I was super excited to wear this top and the fact that I could actually close the buttons was a PLUS:) The tie back option in the back is good to have because it can give you a more fitted look + makes it more feminine.

I styled the button down with a beautiful crystal choker from Baublebar that is such a great piece to have in your wardrobe. It really goes with almost everything- depending on the vibe you want to go with. The leopard Golden Goose were a must-wear since the outfit is plain, the print gives it a pop! I also linked a similar pair for less.

I decided to style this look more casual but if I were planning on wearing this to a more dressy meeting I would pair it with pointy heels and a blazer.

Dressing up my Everyday Uniform!

Happy Friday! So happy it’s the weekend, it’s been quite the week, so excited to be able to hang this weekend and celebrate Purim with Jakey. For those of you who don’t know Purim is one of the most fun Jewish holidays because everyone gets to dress up and drink and celebrate! It’s like another Halloween for the kids.. Jake is going to be a cowboy because for Halloween I bought him a costume and he REFUSED to wear it, so going for simple this time!

On to the outfit – When you’re pregnant and far along the only thing comfortable to wear all day are leggings… These leggings in particular that I’m wearing are the ultimate best because they don’t fit too tight on your waist. They also have so much stretch that you can get your regular size, which means after having the baby you can wear them.

They are high-rise so they feel like they are sucking you in but in reality they aren’t! I am always a size 2 in Lululemon and I am currently wearing the size 2 at 32 weeks pregnant. PS – I can’t believe how close it’s getting – it’s starting to feel more real.. I thankfully feel great and have been able to still walk on a treadmill for exercise (when I get around to it) and to go to Pilates. I think it’s really important to keep on moving if you can, it’s good to just stay active.

This muscle tee is my favorite and so flattering, and it looks good on all body types. I added a denim jacket to the look because I have to keep covered living in Miami with Zika – but I love the way this over-sized denim jacket looks. The leopard sneakers add a fun and flirty element.

Shop the look!
