37 Week Update, Weekend Sales, & New Outfit Post

Hi Guys!
I seriously can’t believe it’s already mid April.. Where has the time gone? I feel like this pregnancy is going by much quicker because I don’t have time to think about it. I’m super ready- but of course would like to wait until 38.5 weeks or 39 weeks to have this baby girl. I had a 37 week check-up this week and everything is looking good, ie the heartbeat was fine, my blood pressure was normal and I continue to gain weight.. It’s so hard seeing the scale go up- even though I know it’s because I’m pregnant and you’re supposed to gain weight it’s still really hard to imagine all of the weight that I have gained. When I step on the scale I always take off my shoes! HA as if that helps.. I have been staying active the entire time- last week was my last time going to pilates. I started to feel a little light headed and figured it was time to stop. Now i’m just walking when I can taking trips to the mall which is indoors and air conditoned.

Anyways onto the outfit! This stripe dress is so cute and non-maternity so you can totally wear it after (I’m in a size medium). I love the stripes and the laced up side hem.. I paired it with my leopard Golden Goose sneakers- i’m obsessed with stripes and leopard I think it’s such a cool combo. My drape sweater is the perfect transition piece because it’s so light and I love that it has the faux suede drape collar, really make the piece unique.

35 Week Update & Running into the Weekend in this Denim Jacket Look

Hi Guys!
Hope you all have had a wonderful week! The beginning of the week was a little stressful because Chase had a huge trial and he was working super late.. But it was all worth it because his firm won! I actually went to the trial on Monday morning to observe – which was really cool.

I had my 35-week checkup yesterday and I gained three pounds in two weeks which puts me at exactly one pound over what I was weighing when I was pregnant with Jake. The doc took the swab for the Group B Stress infection which was super fast and not painful and then he checked for heartbeat and blood pressure … the usual. I got the Whooping Cough shot because you’re supposed to get it I believe from 30-36 weeks. So everything is going well – I’m just starting to feel slightly uncomfortable and large!  Of course the doctor has no idea when I’ll have this baby.. I am hoping for 38.5- 39 weeks!

Anyways onto the outfit – I am obsessed with this top from Helmut Lang with the open sides, I clearly can’t show the sides since my high-waist maternity jeans and belly aren’t the most flattering at the moment. BUT after I have this baby girl I’ll be wearing this top NON stop. I’m obsessed because it’s sexy yet reserved at the same time .. because it’s a high neck more of a tunic tee. It’s a little on the on the pricey side but I have already worn it about five times and plan on wearing it so much more! I paired it with my black maternity jeans and silver Common Projects along with my over-sized denim jacket.

If you haven’t found a denim jacket I highly recommend this one from Seven Jeans. Yes it’s pricey but you can get it for 25% off this weekend at Splendid in Aventura Mall on Saturday from 12-4! Come and see me at the store from 12-2. I’ll be showing you my favorite spring pieces and style you in what’s flattering for your body type. If you don’t live in Miami you can always call the store during the time I’m there.

Perfect Tee for a Huge Belly

Hey Guys!
Hope you all had a fabulous weekend! We went to Blue Ribbon Sushi in South Beach which was super yummy on Friday night, the only problem was that all of the sushi looked DELIC and I couldn’t eat any of it:( I stuck with the corn on the cobb, fried rice, and fried chicken. I would totally recommend it.. Miami is getting super cool- we’re getting really great restaurants and not to mention the expansion in Aventura Mall! We are getting a Zara and Topshop. I always love Zara because they have such high fashion pieces at a fraction of the cost.

Onto the outfit. I am wearing the most comfy grey tee that actually fits because it’s maternity. It’s called the short sleeve Drape top by Ingrid & Isabel and has the comfiest fabric. I’m wearing a size xs so it runs pretty large. I’m having such a hard time these days finding stuff to wear since I really haven’t bought any maternity tops. What I have in my closet that used to be oversize are tiny now! What i’m wearing a lot of these days are the Splendid tanks with maternity jeans and of course athleisure wear. PS- i’m doing an event at Splendid in Aventura Mall this Saturday from 12-2, come and be styled by me!

I wanted to dress up the tee so I added Aquazzura biege heels that are so comfy along with my Iro jacket and red Chanel bag. You can shop the similar look below and please let me know if there is something in particular you would like me to blog about in the next couple of weeks.

Cape Blazer & Pointy Heel

Hope you all had a great weekend! It was a pretty low key weekend – hung out and ordered in Joe’s Stone Crab on Saturday night which is our ultimate favorite date night! Ordering in food and hanging out with Jakey is a perfect Saturday night:) We tried watching the Jackie movie but it was a little intense for the vibe we were going for – so we stopped watching it and ended up falling asleep before 9! I know .. we are such old people. Anyways on to the outfit!

A blazer is an essential piece to have in your wardrobe. You can wear it to the office, to drinks with friends, or even to a date night. This one in particular I bought while I was pregnant with Jake so it’s older but I linked similar ones. What I love about a blazer and heels is it gives such a sophisticated look. You can pair it with ripped denim like I did and look dressed up. Of course you can never go wrong with a pointed heel, this is my favorite one because it gives the right amount of toe cleavage which is super flattering on the foot. Everyone likes to make their legs look longer and if you wear a pointed heel it helps!

Top(Similar): Equipment or this one
Blazer (Similar): Asos
Jeans: Maternity (only a few sizes left so also linked these) and non maternity
Heels: Manolo Blahnik or similar for less

Varsity Bomber Jacket + Leopard

Hope you all had a great weekend! We had such a nice time hanging out with my sister, brother-in-law and nieces. Our 9 month-old niece started saying momma for the first time this weekend. It was so sweet to see! Jake had the time of his life and it gave me a glimpse of how cute he will be with a baby sister.. We went to Jerry Seinfeld on Saturday night and I was seriously laughing so hard it hurt! I highly recommend going to see him, it’s a must!

Now onto the outfit – when I saw this bomber jacket at Splendid I fell in LOVE! It’s such a cute statement piece and super versatile + the color variations are my fav: grey and black! This is such a good transition piece to incorporate into your wardrobe into Spring. You can throw it over your shoulders and it matches with everything…

The white denim are AG maternity (don’t be scared to wear white when you’re preggers) they are super flattering!

The lace-up Iro top I bought a long time ago and it’s still one of my favorite tops because it can be dressed-up and down, in this case I dressed it down. It’s super pricey but worth it – I promise!

The sneakers are so so cute and I know they are pricey but I linked a similar pair from Dolce Vita that my sister bought and was wearing them all weekend. They are seriously just as cute as the Golden Goose.
Hope you all have a great week!

Fringe + Army Green

Hi Guys!
Hope you all had a fab weekend! We had a pretty low key weekend, went out to dinner with two of our best couple friends Friday night which is always fun! The girls are preggers so we hang out soberly while the guys drink:) We picked up my grandmother from the airport on Saturday – she’s back and forth from Colombia so it’s so nice that she’s back. Even though she’s in her late 70’s she is so helpful with Jake and they are obsessed with each other! Jake’s name actually comes from my grandfather’s name Jaime for the J. My sister named her daughter Jaime when she was born 5 years ago.

I wanted to first of all say I’m sorry if my pictures have been slightly boring – but with Zika and being pregnant I am not taking many pictures outside unless I’m covered up! I am excited to be able to start taking pictures again in “miami beach” locations that are bright and cheery. So for now please bear with me and try to focus on the outfit!

This outfit is one of my favs and has been on rotation. The jacket was a piece that I bought because I found myself always wearing that colorful Iro jacket and needed something more toned down. I got the jacket in a size 32 so that I can wear it after the pregnancy. Also, the fabric is a knit so it tends to stretch. If you don’t have a jacket like this, I highly recommend purchasing one because it’s super versatile and the shape is extremely flattering.
Jacket: Iro
Layering Tank: Twenty
Black Jeans: Ag Jeans
