Hi Guys!
Happy Monday- It’s a busy week ahead, I’ll be speaking on May 16th at Ricky’s in South Beach with The Emery + Heymama on how I balance being a mom and running a business… I am so excited that Romi from Lola James Jewelry is on the panel as well! Also – on May 17th I’m hosting an event at Alice & Olivia in the design district. 20% of the proceeds will go to Lehrman. Hope to see you there!

Chloe had to get her one-year shots today because when I took her to her doctor appointment May 3rd she had a minor cold – so our doctor thought it would be best to bring her back when she was 100%. It’s crazy I feel like Chloe has had so many colds that I can’t even count them! I think by the time Jake turned one he had only had one cold. Hoping when she starts school in November she won’t get as sick since she’s been exposed to so much already.

When we went to the doctor’s office we were of course in the “well section”. (Our doctor’s office has two sides- “well” and “sick”). So Chloe started playing with this little boy right next to her. 10 minutes later the lady at the front asks the family to go to the other side. UGHHH I thought to myself – why did they think it was okay to be on the “well” side!!! What’s the point of having two sides if people don’t pay attention? Not only did they go to the sick side but they seemed annoyed that they were called out on it. My first thought was to go yell at the kid’s parents but I decided to keep my cool (I guess I’m growing up:)) Thankfully I had brought an entire pack of wipes so I kept on wiping Chloe’s hands. Of course I tell Chase this story and he’s like why were you letting Chloe play with a kid in the doctor’s office??! Do you think it’s stupid of me to have let her play with the kid in the first place?

Ok onto a positive note! My outfit – This is such an easy look and perfect for spring/summer. I actually wore this top to Chloe’s baby naming with a high-waist black pencil skirt. So it looks cute both worn casually or more business like. Also – the top is currently 50% off. I have had so many pairs of denim shorts over the years and these by far are my favorite and most inexpensive. Have you guys ever thought how expensive denim shorts have become, it’s like buying a pair of jeans. These shorts are the perfect cut and aren’t too short.. They are high-rise which you know by now is my fav – hides your belly. Over the weekend I also wore these shorts with my one-piece off-the-shoulder bathing suit. Wearing these are just as easy as wearing a dress. They are so easy to throw on with a tee. I’m wearing a size 25 for reference.
