Hi Guys!
Hope you all had a fab weekend! It’s crazy but I never thought in one million years that I would be wearing midi skirts. Maybe it’s a mom thing, but I don’t have to feel self conscious when i’m on the floor playing with the kids. Also- I have these intense veins on my legs so a midi dress or skirt covers it! Perhaps they are my new obsession because of all of these reasons.
When it comes to styling a midi skirt you can go multiple ways- I love styling them with a bodysuit or a cropped tee. I also either do a sandal, sneakers or heel depending on where i’m going (lets be serious- I’m usually in a sneaker or flat sandal)! Wearing it with a sneaker gives it more of a cool hip vibe. It’s starting to get hot in Miami so i’m starting to opt for sandals. If you’re in cooler temperatures you can add an over-sized denim or leather jacket.
I wanted to share some of my favorite midis i’m loving now including the one i’m wearing here!
Shop Chloe’s Outfit here: (she’s wearing a size 2). The mosquito net is from Paris Fashion House, it fits our stroller perfectly + it’s so cute! If you want to purchase a net contact Paris- she makes them for all stroller sizes (parisfashionhouse17@gmail.com).
Hi Guys!
Hope you all had a wonderful week! We are so excited our baby girl turns one on Wednesday. We decided not to have a big blow out birthday for Chloe because we have just had a lot going on + we celebrated her baby naming with family not so long ago.
We are going to have a fun little celebration at our apartment. I’m sure Jake will end up blowing out the candles, I can’t wait to see it! Of course I’m getting her a sprinkle cake from Chloe’s in the Design District because not only do they share the same name but her cake is RIDICULOUS!
This weekend we really don’t have much plans which is always so nice, only a birthday party on Sunday. We will get to relax and hangout for the most part. I finally finished my 10 days of antibiotics so I can’t wait to enjoy some wine with Chase. It’s really strange how I only used to drink white wine- but now I’m loving red! Let me know if you have any favorite reds we would love recs.
Onto this outfit- I always love a pair of heels and jeans, so this is a no- brainer outfit. The top is pretty cropped so I paired it with high waist denim so that you can’t see too much of my tummy. I have had these jeans for a while now and they are one of my favorite, and they suck you in all the right places. They look super cute with heels & sneakers. The shoes I actually bought before I had Chloe because they were on a promo so I needed them, and they have been worth every single penny. They are super comfy, but I also linked a pair that’s similar for less.

Hi Guys!
I feel like I blinked and here we are: it’s holiday time! Happy first night of Hanukkah! I can’t believe it’s Chloe’s first Hanukkah:) She absolutely loved seeing the candles being lit and the funniest part was after we lit the candles Jake asked for Challah (ha)! It’s because he’s getting it confused with Shabbat. You don’t want to know how many chocolate gelt Jake has had today….
This time of year is all about getting dressed up, eating/drinking, and enjoying family time. It just so happens that Jake’s birthday is December 24th so it’s a fun celebration month for us, plus we are doing Chloe’s baby naming on the 23rd with just family. My sister, brother in law, her two daughters + my parents and my brother are coming into town. I can’t wait for us all to be together.
Onto the outfit!
There are so many options of what to wear for the holidays- but you can never go wrong with lace. I am totally obsessed with anything lace. I think it just looks so polished & chic. I paired this dress with my pair of Manolo Blahnik shoes that I have had for years and years. Seriously the best investment. The bag is the classic black Chanel which I have also had for years – 7 to be exact. My husband wouldn’t agree with me but it’s a total investment piece.
I wanted to share with you my top five lace dresses all ranging in prices including this one that would be great for a holiday party. The one I’m wearing is currently 30% off. YAY!
Last Friday afternoon (the day after Thanksgiving), Chase and I decided to grab a late lunch and have some glasses of vino while the kids were napping and relaxing at home. While we were sitting at the bar we ran into three families we knew and the first thing they asked us is “where are your kiddos?” Of course I immediately become paranoid and think am I a bad parent for leaving my children at home.. Should I feel guilty for having alone time and catching up with my husband one on one? Isn’t it healthy to do this?!
I noticed a young couple walk into the restaurant with what looked like a newborn baby in the Maxi Cosi carseat and Bugaboo base. We have all been there shlepping the Bugaboo out of the car and hoping the baby doesn’t wake up when you transfer him/her. The couple looked super stressed so I smile and look at them thinking to myself we have been there! DId they know we have been there? How could they? We were at the bar having drinks and lunch kids-free. Meanwhile the mom rocked the baby in the stroller for the next hour.
Onto the outfit: I love when I put staples together and this is exactly what this look entails. This jacket I bought last year when I was scared of Zika and needed a nicer looking jacket but light at the same time. The black jeans are my favorite because not only are they high-wasted, they also have the ankle length + they have rips! The top is so beautiful with lace detailing.. The booties are old but good:)
All I can think about is that my big baby is turning three so soon! I’m starting to plan his birthday party which is really exciting! We had a huge party for Jake when he turned one but then skipped a big celebration last year as I was pregnant and was scared of Zika! So this year i’m super exciting to be celebrating his birthday…. He wants a Spider Man, Paw Patrol or Power Rangers theme! Stay tuned for what we end up with.
I just had to share this, yestterday morning I went to Starbucks in my neighborhood and started talking to a mom who was with her 9 month old son. She was feeding her son a banana from a normal spoon and Chloe was salavating! She was dying for it so I mentioned to the mom that I hadn’t given Chloe banana yet- the mom said by 6 months they can have everything! PS- she’s 29 and a mother of 5! AHHH!
Onto this outfit! I have mentioned before but i’m really into the “baggier” denim at the moment. I think it just looks so cool especially paired with a longer blazer it’s totally on the hipper side… This look reminds me of a New York City outfit that you would wear to work perhaps on denim Fridays and then out for happy hour with your co workers:)
Hi Guys!
Hope you all had a great weekend! We stayed in Friday night and ordered pizza which is now something we do every Friday night. I think it’s easier to eat healthy all week knowing you get to eat pizza on Friday:) Also- I don’t have to worry about cooking so its a win win. Saturday we ran errands and went on a date Saturday night with another young fun couple who also have two kids almost same ages as ours. We went to the Palm which we go to often but we ended up going at 7:30 instead of our usual 6:30. By the time we actually sat down it was late and by the time we left there was a totally different crowd! So many young people, when we only thought old people went.. HAH we are such old people eating so early, but Chase and I like to be in bed early catching up on our shows.
On Sunday I took Jake to a birthday party and Chase stayed home with Chloe. The funniest thing was that Chase thought he could just lay in our bed with Chloe in the Dock-a-Tot and he quickly realized Chloe won’t just lay there…
Onto the outfit- I am obsessed with a good button down top especially when it’s off the shoulder! What I love most about this one is that it looks good half tucked into shorts or jeans.
I decided to wear it with my favorite denim shorts which by the way are a must buy. They have the perfect amount of stretch and aren’t too too short. They are also high rise so they suck in your tummy.
The heels I bought in Florence last summer and are a major staple in my wardrobe and though they are pricey I definitely have gotten my moneys worth because of all the times I have worn them.
