I am so excited to be writing this post and sharing more pictures with you all! I chose one of my favorite places in Miami – the Miami Design District because of its vibrant colors everywhere.
I picked an outfit from Walmart’s new summer fashion collection that totally fits with my style. Did you know that Walmart has partnerships with many different celebrities? When I was browsing through the website there were so many pieces that I could see myself in. I wanted to share a look that totally represents summer – all white. I chose a white denim jacket, a white dress, and woven accessories – a hat & bag as well as a layered necklace.
The white denim jacket from the EV1 collection partnership with Ellen DeGeneres is adorable and I’m totally obsessed with the LOVE on the back! It’s a great throw on + has a stretch material which makes it comfortable! I decided to style it over this white ruched dress. The tote makes the outfit so much fun! You can forget the notion that straw totes are only for the beach. They are really great for everyday- and this one from Walmart is perfect. To complete my look I added a layered necklace.
With the heat in Miami so intense this time of a year, a hat is always a good idea – even if you leave it in your car and always have it handy. Walmart offers free delivery and returns for items over $35. 90% of Americans live within 10 miles of a Walmart store.
Happy Hump day!
I am in no way a food critic or a restaurant critic, but I travel often enough and go to many restaurants to know when a place is good vs. bad.
So last week Chase was on a business trip and I was sleep training Chloe. We woke up Saturday morning and my in laws picked up Jake to have a special day with him. I absolutely love going to the Design District and was dying to go to the Dior Cafe. So I asked Chase if we could go, I put on a cute dress because I was going to ask Chase to take some pictures, and how can he say no if I look cute?
We get there and everyone is there for the exact same reason – to take pictures. However, I am the only one with a toddler. Not only were the staff super rude – they never even tried to get Chloe to smile! The customers were just as rude. Chloe would go up to them and smile and they wouldn’t give her a smile back.
I totally understand it’s not anyone’s job to get Chloe to smile, but when you are spending $12 on a coffee don’t you think the staff should help at least?! I will say, however, that the coffee was amazing and I know my coffee. I would go back – but I would leave kiddies at home. I felt like we were in Europe:) So if you live in Miami and you want to feel like you have gotten away, check it out. It’s a very cute rooftop on the third floor of Dior. Just don’t forget to leave the toddlers at home, even though it looks like a perfect place for them with the fake animals, etc.!
Hi Guys!
Sorry I have been so MIA! I wanted to take my laptop to Colorado, but we just had so much stuff that I knew I couldn’t handle taking one more thing. It was actually a nice break though, but I def missed blogging! I will be doing a blog post on Colorado next week so stay tuned.
I can’t even begin to wrap my head around the fact that school is almost starting.. Where did the summer go? I personally love the start of a new year. Chloe will be starting school in November so she still has some time. Do you like the start of a new year as much as me? I just feel like it’s a great way to re-organize and priorities things that are important.
So I just had a couple of friends over and they were shocked that Chloe was still drinking out of a regular Como Tomo baby bottle! Yikes- I’m thinking it’s time I take it away from her- for some reason I was thinking at two years, but clearly I have no idea! Just adding this to the list of things to work on. I finally have her sleeping schedule back to normal. In colorado she was sleeping with us in our bed and we had to put a kabosh on it! Now I let her cry in her crib and while she cries i’m basically hiding in my bathroom looking at my Nest camera.. AHHH motherhood!
Anyways I wanted to share this outfit because it’s probably the most worn outfit of summer. This top is so comfy and cute. It was a little pricey but again since I have worn it to so much it has been totally worth it. Since it’s baggy I like to tuck it in to high wasted shorts or jeans.
Get the look here- and I linked my look alike sandals as well:

I actually ended up buying this skirt when it was 25% off AND it’s a purchase that I would make over and over again because I have worn it so many times. You can style a white leather mini skirt so many different ways. You can wear it with heels like I did pictured here or with a pair of sneakers, depending on where you are going! I plan on bringing this skirt to Colorado with us and wearing it with sneakers and a denim jacket. Unfortunately my skirt is pretty much sold out but I wanted to share leather white minis i’m loving in all different price ranges!
Five years ago this week, I quit my job and started my personal shopping + blogging business. While I don’t do personal shopping so much now because my time is super limited and since through Reward Style this can really be achieved digitally, I have loved every single challenging moment of blogging. It’s a way for me to let out my creativity and thoughts. I couldn’t be happier and thankful for you all. Sometimes when I feel like quitting I get these nice messages that make me feel like it’s my calling in life to continue to share outfits and stories.
Chloe by the way is walking everywhere! It’s so cute – she officially graduated from the Carter’s zip up pajamas because she can’t walk in them! She’s now onto two piece sets. I feel like she isn’t a baby anymore – but I’m loving that she can walk because she can interact with Jakey more. She’s such a big girl now – she even thinks she can take Chester for walks. HA!
Onto this outfit! I’ve been wearing so many dresses and skirts lately that sometimes it’s just nice to wear something super simple and chic. It all starts with a great pair of jeans. These are one of my favorite pairs: they are so slimming and comfortable because they have so much stretch. I personally love stretch, so every single pair of denim I wear has them.
Hi Guys!
Happy Monday- It’s a busy week ahead, I’ll be speaking on May 16th at Ricky’s in South Beach with The Emery + Heymama on how I balance being a mom and running a business… I am so excited that Romi from Lola James Jewelry is on the panel as well! Also – on May 17th I’m hosting an event at Alice & Olivia in the design district. 20% of the proceeds will go to Lehrman. Hope to see you there!
Chloe had to get her one-year shots today because when I took her to her doctor appointment May 3rd she had a minor cold – so our doctor thought it would be best to bring her back when she was 100%. It’s crazy I feel like Chloe has had so many colds that I can’t even count them! I think by the time Jake turned one he had only had one cold. Hoping when she starts school in November she won’t get as sick since she’s been exposed to so much already.
When we went to the doctor’s office we were of course in the “well section”. (Our doctor’s office has two sides- “well” and “sick”). So Chloe started playing with this little boy right next to her. 10 minutes later the lady at the front asks the family to go to the other side. UGHHH I thought to myself – why did they think it was okay to be on the “well” side!!! What’s the point of having two sides if people don’t pay attention? Not only did they go to the sick side but they seemed annoyed that they were called out on it. My first thought was to go yell at the kid’s parents but I decided to keep my cool (I guess I’m growing up:)) Thankfully I had brought an entire pack of wipes so I kept on wiping Chloe’s hands. Of course I tell Chase this story and he’s like why were you letting Chloe play with a kid in the doctor’s office??! Do you think it’s stupid of me to have let her play with the kid in the first place?
Ok onto a positive note! My outfit – This is such an easy look and perfect for spring/summer. I actually wore this top to Chloe’s baby naming with a high-waist black pencil skirt. So it looks cute both worn casually or more business like. Also – the top is currently 50% off. I have had so many pairs of denim shorts over the years and these by far are my favorite and most inexpensive. Have you guys ever thought how expensive denim shorts have become, it’s like buying a pair of jeans. These shorts are the perfect cut and aren’t too short.. They are high-rise which you know by now is my fav – hides your belly. Over the weekend I also wore these shorts with my one-piece off-the-shoulder bathing suit. Wearing these are just as easy as wearing a dress. They are so easy to throw on with a tee. I’m wearing a size 25 for reference.
