Lets face it, we all wear workout clothes because they’re comfortable, stylish, and cool. Nike CEO Mark Parker has said “leggings are the new denim” and I think his statement is 100% true. Nowadays you can go from a pilates workout to run errands and you look trendy, especially if you are fully decked out in some brands like Lululemon, Net-A Sporter, Trina Turk, Cynthia Rowley, Mara Hoffman, Stella McCartney x Adidas, and Miami based brand- Peony.
When I was pregnant I lived in the cotton Roll Up legging from Lululemon because it was high wasted and the fit was perfect. It didn’t pinch my huge tummy and I was able to breathe. The best thing about wearing my Lululemon gear is that I am able to go from a workout class to run errands to a lunch with friends and still feel stylish.

For me, since becoming a mother I actually find myself wearing athleisure on a daily basis. I often don’t have time to change during the day and thanks to stylish workout gear I can still feel and look fashionable. The key to shopping for the perfect athleisure pieces is to find items that compliment other items into your wardrobe. Nonexistent even two years ago, the concept of athleisure means that it is now acceptable to run around in workout gear all day long. For a fashonista like me, I still feel fashionable wearing this comfortable clothing.

After your workout- if you add accessories like a hat (fedora or baseball), a pair of Birkenstocks or Teekes, a denim or leather jacket, and a great bag you will look stylish and ready to take on the day.

If Chanel is selling tennis shoes then I think wearing workout clothes all day everyday is totally acceptable☺

Hi!!! Hoping these looks give you some weekend style inspiration.
The rag and bone boyfriend short is one of my favorite most versatile pieces I own. What I love most about them is the length! They are just the perfect length because while they show off your legs they aren’t too revealing. This denim short can we worn to the park with your kids or on a date night with your hubby!

The first look is paired with an Equipment blouse, Valentino pointy flats, Fallon chunky necklace, and my red Fendi bag.. This look can be worn to a luncheon or to work depending on your job..

The second look is for more of a casual vibe. It is paired with an Iro t shirt, Aquazzura espadrilles, Gucci bag, Lola James bracelets. You can easily add a hat to this as well.. This is a perfect outfit for an outing with your friends or family to a park..

The third look can be worn out for a date night.. Baily top with Aquazzura heels, J Crew necklace and Chanel bag. Let’s be honest here: a Chanel bag makes every outfit! Can’t wait to visit Chanel in Paris in September!

Hope everyone has a fab weekend!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend! It’s sure great to be back in Miami!
MOST PEOPLE own jean shorts but not everyone owns the perfect pair..I have a million pairs- but the Rag and Bone boyfriend short is my all time favorite for the following reasons..
1. I can dress them up with a pair of heels
2. I CAN sit on the floor with Jake and not have to be paranoid that they are too short
3. I CAN wear them from the beach to dinner
They are the most versatile pair of denim shorts I own..I have styled this short from a 28 year old to a 46 year old.
Next week I will show you how I style them in three totally different looks..

Today we are flying to Charleston, South Carolina to visit a dear friend I grew up with. The last time I was in Charleston was for her wedding two years ago, so I am thrilled to be bringing Jake with us. Charleston will be the third city Jake has visited in his 5 ½ months☺ We can just start calling him a frequent flier.
Airport style is always tricky because you want to feel comfortable and look fashionable at the same time. Airports are always freezing and if you are traveling during the summer- you don’t want to carry around unnecessary heavy layers.
My go-to layering piece for summer travel is a denim button down shirt because it doesn’t take up any space and can be easily stored in a carry-on. As much as I love my AG denim jacket, it just takes up too much space for something I will only wear at the airport or on the plane. A comfortable pair of jeans is also a must coupled with sneakers since airports generally require a lot of walking. If you have TSA pre-check, opt for converse and, if not, I like the sneaker slip-ons.
*P.S. TSA pre-check is a MUST and totally worth it!
Comfort is key: If you are anything like me and my husband, then you like to walk laps around the airport before your flight since you will be sitting for a long while on the plane. Of course, we take it to the next level and stand on the plane until a stewardess commands us to sit. Don’t forget your button down shirt to tie around your waist- you’re going to need it!
Next week on the blog- traveling with a baby & key things to bring….
Happy travels & have a good weekend!

Today I show you how to wear a classic white button down shirt three different ways.. It’s important to own a white sleeveless button down because it gives you so many different outfit options. All three looks featured below can be worn either to a 9-5 job, going out for cocktails, or on a date!

The first outfit is paired with black jeans and a pair of blue sandals.. This outfit is great for a fashion gal who is ready to stand out with the added pop of color. If you want to pull off a more conservative look then opt for a black pointy heel or flat.

The second outfit is paired with bell bottom jeans, a cape blazer and platform sandals.. This outfit is ideal for the on-trend person who wants to look both fashionable and professional and can be worn to the office or to dinner.

The third outfit is paired with the perfect black high-wasted skirt and black pointy pumps. Perfect for a more sleek look if you are heading to a meeting. Don’t forget to accessorize this look 😍. A big chunky necklace and bangles would be perfect to add.

Jenny Packham- is one of our favorite designers showing at fashion week. Not sure if it’s her first name that we LOVE so much or her elegant, beautiful, tasteful collection. The beaded long dresses, beautiful silk fabrics, and texture are a must see. The colors Jenny Packham uses are just perfect for Fall: Deep reds, navy & mustard yellows are among some of the colors that stand out.
Below are our two favorites dresses. They are perfect for a black tie wedding or a Gala.

Least favorite designers of NYFW is The Row. We just don’t understand the need to show such baggy outfits. The long skirts, over-sized coats and menswear inspired looks are just lacking femininity. The dark colors don’t help the collection either- all in all- it’s a dark and depressing collection that we wouldn’t wear anywhere.
See picture below for an example-
