Wardrobe Essential: White Button Down

A white button down is a wardrobe essential and should be a staple in your closet because you can wear it to achieve so many different looks.  Wear it with distressed denim and heels or for a more conservative look pair it with a pencil skirt.  Below find my favorite ways to style the white button down essential:

Atlanta Trip!

We are headed off to Atlanta today – so excited to be taking Jake!  When we left him in Miami while went to California I really felt sad, so super happy he is coming along. It’s actually the first time we are flying with Jake and he actually knows and understands what a plane is.. He is borderline obsessed with planes – I never actually realized how many there actually are flying around all the time!

Anyways- I have been to Atlanta a couple of times- but spent most of the days at the Apparel Mart working because I was living in New York and was working at a showroom. I am super excited to be able to explore this time around. Since we are going for a wedding, I have to pack daytime and night time outfits.  My two main outfits – Friday night and Saturday night are the same outfits I wore in Palm Springs – but I’ll be changing up the accessories to make the outfits look different.  I really am all about getting items and changing them up with accessories – you would be surprised as how different they can look.

Packing List (Since the weather says 60’s-80’s i’ll be packing the following):

  1. denim jacket, moto jacket & leather jacket
    1. I really do pack lightly- but the weather has me confused so the denim and moto jackets are light and the leather is on the heavier side.
  2. two pairs of denim and a pair of black skinny distressed
    1. Since i’m traveling with Jake i’m thinking the pair of jeans I wear on the plane will definitely get dirty- hence bringing a second pair.
  3. 4 of my favorite tees
  4. one button down
  5. 2 dresses- one for the Friday night dinner and one for the wedding
  6. Sneakers, lace-up flats, mid heel (wearing them to Friday night because I can’t wear a high heel and carry around Jake) and black pointy heels.

Keep on checking Instagram for daily looks and of course some family photos:)

CW Segment- How to Accessorize For A Wedding

Spring wedding season is here and, if you’re anything like me, then you will be attending a bunch.  Instead of buying multiple dresses I opt for buying one dress and styling it different ways through accessorizing.  Yes – even if the attire is cocktail, black tie or beachy – you can still wear the same dress!  I recently appeared on a segment on the CW network in South Florida and I shared some of my must-have accessories for men and women for weddings (Airing on 3.13.16!).

Last month when I attended my friend’s wedding in Palm Springs I wore a lace mini dress with a feather trim which I paired with flats.  This weekend I am attending a friend’s wedding in Atlanta. Instead of purchasing a new dress I’m styling this look differently through accessories. Stay tuned!

If you live in South Florida please tune in (or DVR) Inside South Florida on the CW at 6:30 am on Sunday to learn all about accessorizing for weddings!

Also- I shared a gorgeous bracelet from Lola James Jewelry- please contact info@lolajamesjewelry.com for more information.

Off to Atlanta tomorrow for a dear friend’s wedding!  Don’t forget to check Instagram for daily looks and inspiration!

If you’re on the go and are looking for a stylish and comfortable ballet slipper then Ja-Vie is perfect for you! When I put on the ballet flat for the first time I couldn’t believe how comfortable they were, they really are a pillow for your feet. Also, I usually have to break in a ballet flat.  But these didn’t have to be broken-in as these shoes are blister-resistant. They have arch, ball and heel support and they have air vents located on the bottom of the insole to provide breath-ability.

What’s amazing is that the insole is removable so they are machine washable. These ballet slippers come in 20 different colors so there should definitely be one that matches your taste. I chose the bright pink body with black cap toe because I just always love that pop of color!

To learn more about Ja-Vie and to purchase visit Ja-Vie.  PS these flats are under $70.00!

6 Ways to Dress up your Tee

Have you noticed that anyone and everyone is wearing tees?!  Whether you’re at work, off to dinner or going to the movies, you are most likely wearing a tee.  I personally live in tees these days and when I want to wear them and look dressy I style it the following 6 ways:

Paired with a mini skirt, silver flats, and tighter tee..

1.  Paired with a mini skirt, silver flats, and tighter tee gives it that cool look.

Adding a blazer gives it that automatic effortless dressed up look.

2.  Adding a blazer gives it that automatic  and effortless dressed-up look.

Paired with a chunky necklace gives it an edgy hip look.

3.  Paired with a chunky necklace gives it an edgy, hip look.

Cool downtown everyday look.

4.  Paired with a leather jacket gives it that cool downtown edgy look.

Anything paired with a pencil skirt gives it that fancier look- you can wear to the office.

5.  Anything paired with a pencil skirt gives it that fancier look- you can wear to the office with a pair of pointy heels or flats.

Great alternative to a skirt- a fun short dresses up the look.

6.  The printed silk short is a great alternative to a skirt- a fun short dresses up the look.
