Top 10 Lace-Up Tops!

Hi Guys!
Hope you have all had a great week! So excited it’s the weekend, we are going to hang out! My belly is starting to get really big- so it’s feeling very real now! Yesterday I had the glucose test at the doctors office, so glad it’s over with!

Styling the lace up top: I decided to wear the lace up top with my bandanna choker from BaubleBar. I always love black, white, and red combo looks so clean and fun! You don’t have to over accessorize because the lace-up in itself looks like an accessory – so it’s an easy top to throw on and not have to think about accessorizing.

I wanted to share with you my top 10 lace up tops because it’s a trend that everyone should be wearing no matter your age or weight. Not only was a it a huge trend for 2016 – but it’s also here to stay! It’s flattering for all body types.. If you like more fitted tops then I have you covered – or if you are like me and like more of a looser look – I have you covered! From going to the movies, to taking your kids to carpool, to date night there are so many different options that I have selected that are my favs.

Cute Sneakers are the New Heels

Ever since I found out I was pregnant I have been wearing sneakers every day and frankly, since having Jake,  I wear heels to go out to dinner but, on a day to day basis, it’s flats.  Last weekend I wore heels to dinner and my back started hurting so I have decided going forward to wear sneakers!  Unfortunately, with Zika in Miami, I have to wear closed-toe shoes so my Valentino ballet flats, Aquazzura lace-ups, Gucci slides, and my Chanel ballet flats are out of the question: (I actually wore my Gucci slides a couple of weeks ago and got bit by a mosquito – thankfully I got tested and it wasn’t Zika.  It’s not worth the anxiety for me to wear cute shoes and possibly get bit!)

Nowadays you can get really cute sneakers that can be worn from day to night.. Since I’m also running around after Jake it’s imperative that they are comfortable.  I recently purchased the silver Common Projects which will be my go-to date night shoes!  They are super cute and match with everything, when I am able to wear skirts again I will actually wear them with dresses and skirts.

I have had the Golden Goose sneakers for a while now – and yes they are pricey but worth every single penny if you calculate how many times you wear them and then divide the cost.

I can’t believe Chase and I are celebrating our 5 year anniversary- I feel so blessed to have a 2 year old together and a baby on the way. How did I get so lucky?  We are going to a low key dinner Saturday night and probably a movie, any good movies you have seen lately?

Hope you have a great weekend!

New Years Outfit Roundup!

Hi Guys!
Hope you all had a fabulous holiday weekend! I feel like we pretty much ate all weekend visiting with family and friends! Jake turned two over the weekend so we spent a lot of time eating cake of course..

I can’t believe it’s almost new years and 2017! This year for new years we plan on keeping it super low key because we don’t have a babysitter for Jake – but it really is a fun time to go out if you’re in the mood to party – especially in Miami where people are ready to dance..

Even though we aren’t going out (we will probably go to a friends house with the kids and order in dinner) and getting all glammed up, I wanted to pull some of my favorite looks for you all who go out and get dressed up! I’m all about buying pieces that are worth purchasing – i.e., you are going to wear it again. So I would rather you spend $400 on something you will wear four times and will be a staple in your closet vs something that you will wear once. I organized my fav looks by Dresses, Accessories and Shoes! Hurry up and buy something you have 5 days to get your sexy look together….

Styling a Mini Skirt for Winter

Just because it’s winter doesn’t mean you have to stop showing off those legs you’ve been working so hard to tone at the gym:)  It’s super fun to style a mini skirt in the winter- here are some ways to style them.. If you’re super pale like me- then I have ideas for you! I have been wearing pants everyday and my poor legs haven’t seen the sun in months because of Zika.

  1.  Wear a leather jacket or a knit jacket like I did.
    1. If you’re going to wear it with a boxier jacket- then wear a tight tank under to show your body..
    2. Also- pairing a boxy jacket with a high wasted skirt is super cute.
  2.  Wear matte opaque or pattern tights which are super in, I love these polka dot ones which you have seen me wear!
  3.  Style it with over the knee boots
  4. Wear it with a pair of fringe suede booties

If you pair your mini with these suggestions it will look more winter appropriate.  If you have over the knee boots then def wear them with the mini- it’s the perfect combo.  I also really like to pair minis with a cable knit sweater half tucked in, its super on trend at the moment.  If you’re going out tonight and don’t know what to wear go out and buy a mini skirt!

Top 5 Leather Jackets!

emmadelreyphoto-128
Hi!

Thankfully it’s Friday!!! No Fall outfit is complete without a leather jacket. It’s one of my favorite pieces to wear because it just adds that edge factor to any outfit you’re wearing. I personally think that the more fitted the jacket is the better one because it shows off your shape.

My exact jacket isn’t available because I bought it from black Friday last year.. It’s from Iro which is one of my favorite brands – but so pricey! – so I didn’t include any Iro jackets in my top 5. But I do love them – the leather is so soft.

But you don’t need to spend that much money, there are lots of other good options. I found other styles that I absolutely love! From pairing your jacket with jeans or with a dress – it’s the perfect add on to any outfit. Shop my top 5 fav ranging in all prices here:
