Dressing up my Everyday Uniform!

Happy Friday! So happy it’s the weekend, it’s been quite the week, so excited to be able to hang this weekend and celebrate Purim with Jakey. For those of you who don’t know Purim is one of the most fun Jewish holidays because everyone gets to dress up and drink and celebrate! It’s like another Halloween for the kids.. Jake is going to be a cowboy because for Halloween I bought him a costume and he REFUSED to wear it, so going for simple this time!

On to the outfit – When you’re pregnant and far along the only thing comfortable to wear all day are leggings… These leggings in particular that I’m wearing are the ultimate best because they don’t fit too tight on your waist. They also have so much stretch that you can get your regular size, which means after having the baby you can wear them.

They are high-rise so they feel like they are sucking you in but in reality they aren’t! I am always a size 2 in Lululemon and I am currently wearing the size 2 at 32 weeks pregnant. PS – I can’t believe how close it’s getting – it’s starting to feel more real.. I thankfully feel great and have been able to still walk on a treadmill for exercise (when I get around to it) and to go to Pilates. I think it’s really important to keep on moving if you can, it’s good to just stay active.

This muscle tee is my favorite and so flattering, and it looks good on all body types. I added a denim jacket to the look because I have to keep covered living in Miami with Zika – but I love the way this over-sized denim jacket looks. The leopard sneakers add a fun and flirty element.

Shop the look!

Lace Tops

Hi Guys!
So happy it’s Friday – busy day today! Chase has been super busy all week so I can’t wait to hang with him all weekend. This morning I’m off to a bris for a very good friend’s baby! So excited to hear the baby’s name- in the Jewish religion some people don’t share the baby’s name until the Bris. For those of you who don’t know a what a bris is – it’s a Jewish ceremony of the circumcision of a baby boy and a celebration of life.

Anyways now lets talk about the outfit! It’s a lace top I bought a while ago from Zara and not maternity but I linked similar lace tops I love here since this one is no longer available. These white jeans are maternity and have gotten so much use out of them. My Valentino rockstud heels are the perfect size heel to wear when preggers and always! I actually bought these for Jake’s bris because I figured it would be a good size heel to wear while carrying him! I linked a similar pair for less here.

Hi!
I am so excited to share with you all my top 10 favorite things for Spring especially now that they are up to 25% off with code BIGEVENT17 at checkout. Below find my top favorites from light jackets, Tops, Bottoms, Shoes, and Accessories! I highly encourage to not wait to purchase as things sell out super quickly.

Light Jackets:
I’m sure if you are living in a colder climate you can’t wait to just wear a lighter jacket!
Here are two of my favorites:
1) Blazer

2) Denim Jacket

Tops:
I am totally obsessed with cute tees and wear them with a pair of jeans and heels for a more dressy look or jeans and flats for a more casual look. Tees can be pricey- but it’s money well worth spent if you wear them a ton!

3) This one is a favorite at the moment because it has the split at the back- and I love details. I clearly can’t wear it right now, but it will be one of the first things I wear after pregnancy.

4) I also LOVE this bohemian peasant top. Such a cute top to wear with jeans or shorts. You can wear it to the beach or out to dinner with a pair of sexy sandals.

Bottoms:
5) I love mini skirts because you can style them so many different ways- this one has been on my wishlist for a long time now. I love the color and how you can dress it up and down, wear with booties or sandals depending on where you live.

6) Spring wouldn’t be spring without the perfect pair of denim shorts– these I bought a while ago and they are still my favorite, can’t wait to fit into them again! It’s all about goals:)

7)Denim- Think hems when you are buying denim this Spring- these are my favorite!

Shoes:
8) Metallic sneakers are such a comfortable way to go out and look stylish which still being comfortable. I love these because the price is right and they are super cute!  I wear my metallic sneakers all the time.

9) Slides- they are everywhere and so many to choose from.  I have been eyeing these for a long time and was so excited to see they were on sale.  They can be dressed up or down.  They are a spring must have!

Accessories:
10) Sunnies- You can’t get through Spring without a great pair of sunglasses- loving round ones.

Pregnancy Update + Dainty Chokers

I can’t believe I am 28+ weeks pregnant!  Actually sometimes I still can’t believe that I’m pregnant at all with a baby girl.  I think it will actually hit me once she’s born.  We are so thrilled to be giving Jakey a sibling and are so excited to see his reaction when he meets her.  I had convinced myself that we were just having Jake so now it’s like a feeling of oh my gosh how did this miracle happen to us? I hear stories about women who are trying to get pregnant around me and I can sympathize with them, I completely understand what it’s like.

Right before I found out I was preggers I had explained to Chase that all of our friends were going to start having their second babies and that we just had to be super happy for them.  Ironically – like last time – I am one of the first ones that got pregnant.  I truly feel like we are blessed and I can’t wait for this miracle girl to arrive.

My tummy is getting so large and by 3 pm I am in my PJs ready to lay down! I don’t remember feeling this tired when I was pregnant with Jake – but then again I wasn’t running after a 2 year old. The braxton hicks are occurring so much more often and sometimes it makes me really nervous – like I am going into labor.  I have been doing Pilates from the beginning usually 2-3 times per week which I think is super helpful when pregnant.  It’s good to work out and move!

Before I could feel the baby kick, which started around 19-20 weeks, I would have the worst anxiety wondering about the heart beat. I couldn’t wait until the next appointment – so I am super happy now that she’s kicking and I feel her.. Sometimes when I haven’t felt her in awhile I force myself to lay down. I find that when I’m relaxed and laying down I’ll feel her more.. Anyways 12 weeks to go – wow! and my boobs are large and in charge! Not sure how much bigger they can get..

Back to Fashion! I have found myself only looking for jewelry and shoes! Since I can’t shop for real clothes I am going crazy with accessories.. Chokers are everywhere! I am especially loving dainty chokers because they look so cute and make a subtle statement. They absolutely go with everything – from athleisure clothing to a black tie event, you will find me wearing workout clothing and a dainty choker.

I discovered the ones that I am wearing in the Instagram pic when I went to a wedding in Dallas. One of the bride’s besties was wearing the cutest dainty necklace and she said it was from Stephanie Gottlieb. I fell in love and of course had to purchase! I love stacking them – so I wear one with three hearts and one with one star. They are my every days now. The more layers the better!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Leopard Sneakers Check!

You know if you have been following along my blog/instagram that I am all about that pop of color!  I haven’t played too much with animal prints but I love when you pair a plain outfit with an animal print accessory or shoe.  I have been eyeing the Aquazzura Christy in leopard for a while now and when we went to Italy in the summer I decided to go with the yellow pair instead because they were on major sale.  So naturally I was thinking about the ones I didn’t purchase.

Come months later, I’m preggers + with Zika I am not wearing those type of ballet shoes and I came across the Golden Goose leopard which I am totally in love with!  They are so comfortable and paired with an ankle jean they are so so cute – even with a dress and shorts!  I can’t wait until after the baby when I can start wearing regular jeans again and pair the shoe with frayed denim.

When styling a leopard shoe you don’t necessarily need to keep it all basic – I love combining a stripe top or polka dots with the print.  Just be sure to not add another animal print to the outfit.

Hope you all have a great weekend!  Stay tuned on how I style these sneakers for date night on Saturday night..

Top 10 Lace-Up Tops!

Hi Guys!
Hope you have all had a great week! So excited it’s the weekend, we are going to hang out! My belly is starting to get really big- so it’s feeling very real now! Yesterday I had the glucose test at the doctors office, so glad it’s over with!

Styling the lace up top: I decided to wear the lace up top with my bandanna choker from BaubleBar. I always love black, white, and red combo looks so clean and fun! You don’t have to over accessorize because the lace-up in itself looks like an accessory – so it’s an easy top to throw on and not have to think about accessorizing.

I wanted to share with you my top 10 lace up tops because it’s a trend that everyone should be wearing no matter your age or weight. Not only was a it a huge trend for 2016 – but it’s also here to stay! It’s flattering for all body types.. From going to the movies, to taking your kids to carpool, to date night there are so many different options that I have selected that are my favs.
