Top 10 Silver Sneakers

Hi Guys!
Happy Happy Friday… So I am 39 + weeks and waiting for contractions! I was late with Jake so perhaps that will be the case with this baby. My next appointment is on my actual due date- next Tuesday May 2nd. Chase’s birthday is May 9th- getting so close to his birthday!

I have been living in these silver sneakers I bought a while back and I wanted to share my top 10 silver sneakers as this is a huge trend.. There is nothing better then a huge trend + it being comfortable.

When styling a silver sneaker there are so many different ways to wear them. Since I am super preggers and dealing with covering up from mosquito’s I have been wearing them as my going out shoe- but after I have this baby they will be my day shoe with denim shorts, dresses, and rompers. I can’t wait!!!

Denim Details

Happy Friday!
Hope you all have had a great week! Jake finally went back to school after a very long spring break, and after being away for so long he wasn’t happy about going back. Apparently it’s going to take now a little bit of time to get used to school again. It’s always so hard to drop of your baby when he’s upset and saying he wants to go home, but I know it’s best for him to be there. I think i’m also super hormonal so it makes me so much more upset to see him this way. Although his teacher sends me pictures right after I leave and he couldn’t look happier.

Anyways onto the shoes- denim is a major trend for spring/summer and it’s the first time i’m really seeing it so heavily in shoes. I wanted to share my top 10 favorites ranging in all prices & styles.  I included flat sandals which are perfect with dresses, a pointy heel which can be worn to the office, sandal heels which can be worn out for date night, and lastly espadrilles which are the perfect weekend shoe. I can’t wait to wear my pair of heels after I have the baby for date night!  I actually bought them a while ago when there was a promotion going on at Neiman Marcus.  Since they are a little pricey here is a similar pair for less!

When styling a denim shoe look at it as a neutral because it really goes with everything. You can wear them from denim jeans to dresses to rompers. Hope you are loving denim as much as me:)

Most Flattering Way to Dress While Preggers

Hi!
Happy Friday – Hope you have had a wonderful week! My parents were here in the beginning of the week which was so nice! They are amazing with Jake and he’s obsessed with them. For the first time in what seems like forever, Chase and I don’t have any plans this weekend. I’m so looking forward to just chilling. It’s getting harder to sit at long dinners – I just don’t have the patience:( Yesterday was 89 degrees so now dressing for zika is getting harder and more uncomfortable. Sorry if it seems I’m complaining – I am super lucky to be pregnant in the first place – but the humidity in Miami is getting bad.. I can’t wait to live in shorts and sandals!

Onto the outfit: I find that when you’re really pregnant, and I mean really pregnant in terms of showing (like 28 + weeks), the most flattering thing to wear is a blazer because it elongates your body. I found this one on sale for 30% off and I loved the detailing on it. What I love so much about it is the detailing lace in the back and sleeves. It’s such a modern take on a blazer. You can dress the blazer up or down depending on where you are going. Here I paired it with black skinny jeans, my white sneakers, and a white tee that I have been living in. I’ve been living in this tee because not only because it is super soft but it’s also long enough to cover my belly since it’s maternity. I wanted to show a more casual way of wearing this blazer so I paired it with a casual tee and sneakers. Throw on a pair of heels and it’s perfect for a date night.

Since the blazer has a lot going on I kept the rest of the outfit simple and didn’t introduce any colors to my outfit. It’s better to keep the main focus on the blazer or else it becomes too busy. I could have added a choker to this look to accessorize it more.

I am usually not a fan of wearing such tight clothing but I find that when you have a belly it starts to become much more flattering to wear tight clothing or you just look big.

Blazer: Black lace
Tee: White v-neck
Jeans: Black jeans
Shoes: White sneakers or similar for less
Bag (Similar): Black bag or similar for less
Sunglasses: Round with gold frame

Have a great weekend!

Top 10 Denim Shorts

Hi Guys!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! We had such a nice relaxing weekend. Stayed in Friday night and ate tacos from Coyo which I think is the best Mexican food in Miami.. Saturday I had the event at Splendid which was great – it’s so much fun styling people in what I think suits them best, Saturday night Chase and I went to Ipic to see Beauty & the Beast and ate way too much, of course. Sunday we relaxed and had Chase’s grandmother over!

If there is one thing I have missed wearing during this pregnancy it’s denim shorts! Because of Zika in Miami, I haven’t worn shorts since I found out I was pregnant around September 1. With four short weeks to go, I am so looking forward to wearing my denim shorts again and wanted to share some that are on my wish list.

There are so many different types of denim shorts to choose from: boyfriend, high-waisted (most looking forward to wearing these since they hide your tummy), short shorts, etc. The pair I was living in before I found I was pregnant was somewhat of a boyfriend style with a cuff and rips. If you are more concerned about your legs, rips are the way to go because it distracts. Sharing my top 10 here:

Hope you all have a great week!

White Slides for Spring

Spring is here and that signifies you have to start getting your sandals in check! Get those much needed pedicures and try out one of the biggest Spring trends – the white slide. Slides are so in at the moment, even the Manolo Blahnik satin pump that Sarah Jessica Parker had in Sex and the City comes in a slide and are featured in the Barney’s Spring book.

There are so many different options to choose from ranging in all prices. I personally can’t wait to wear mine! Even though I live in Miami, and I should have been wearing sandals all winter, I haven’t been able to because of Zika – so I am super excited to wear them!

From studs, to comfy Birkenstocks, to strappy – all of these sandals have one thing in common: they are a slide. What’s great about a slide is that they are comfortable and you don’t have to spend time putting them on like a gladiator sandal.  I remember when the gladiator sandals was super “in” that went all the way up your leg right below your knee…. I was never into them, but how long did it take to put them on? Slides are comfortable, easy and cute .. so get yourself a pair!
