I have been seeing velvet pop up on everything! Every single designer is using velvet in their collections from lower end designers to high end designers. From Zara to Asos to H&M to Self Portrait to Valentino to Tom Ford. If you live in a colder climate this is the perfect trend to take on.
Since i’m in Miami I opted for a velvet sandal because I can wear them anytime of year. I’m thinking about a velvet mini too- I have seen so many cute ones! If you live in a colder climate you can go for the velvet bootie which is HOT HOT HOT or a pair of velvet high rise pants! I wanted to share my top picks with you all that will make a statement- let me know your thoughts about velvet.. Is it a trend you will try out?
Hi!
Happy weekend! We have so much to do this weekend: we are going to visit Chase’s grandmother, visit our friends who just had a baby, and we have a baby naming! We actually really like being busy on the weekends it’s easier with the kiddos. Next Monday Chase and I are off to Argentina for my cousin’s wedding! For those of you asking my dad is from Argentina & my mom is from Colombia. I grew up going to Colombia every year because my grandparents, aunt and uncle + cousins live there. However, we never went to Argentina because most of my dad’s family was in the United States. My colombian cousin is marrying a girl from Argentina. We will be spending two days in Buenos Aires and the rest of the time in Rosario. Let me know if you have any recommendations!
Onto fashion- when we were in California I bought a pair of boots I have been eyeing for a while now. It’s hard for me to justify spending a lot of money on a pair of boots since I live in Miami and don’t get to wear them often. However, my favorite bootie was on sale! It’s now on sale until 10.9 so take a look! The last time I bought a pair of flat boots was two years ago and they are grey with studs, so it’s time for a refresh. I wanted to share my top 5 camel color booties with you all.
There are so many different ways to style a camel boot since it’s a neutral color. I love styling a camel boot with an all black outfit, a dress, or even with denim shorts!
Hi Guys!
I can’t believe I have been blogging for 3 + years! If there is one thing that has been consistent over the past three years it’s my love for a pop of color for shoes, bags, etc. I love the color red (it’s my favorite nail color too) so I have noticed that a lot of my outfits have that pop of color.
There are so many ways to add a pop of color to your outfit. If you’re not into such a bright color you can opt for burgundy because it’s not too too bright but still gives that perfect touch (also linked burgundy + great color for fall). Going through some pictures of three + years of blogging I wanted to share some of my favorites below:

Hi Guys!
Sorry I haven’t posted in a while now, Hurricane Irma really threw me for a loop! I was so thankful that we were able to go to Dallas and leave, but since we were glued to CNN the whole time all we did was eat and eat! We luckily didn’t have any damage to our home thankfully the power was out for only about 4 days.
I took Jakey to play at the Mondrian hotel last Friday in Miami Beach and we saw a dad with two little kids and he said that he was staying there because a tree had fallen over his house.. It’s just terrible, and now with more and more hurricanes coming I am just praying for everyone!
Last year at this time I was running away from Miami because of Zika and being newly pregnant so I am just happy that things are calm right now and we can enjoy spending the new year with Chase’s family.
Next week Chase and I will be taking our first trip since Chloe was born – I’m tagging along on his business trip! We’re dropping the kiddos off in Dallas and then heading to LA. I seriously can’t wait – I might end up sleeping the entire time! Just kidding I seriously can’t sleep when there is so much to explore. If you have any recommendations in LA please let me know…
I wanted to share some dresses I am loving right now that are more on the conservative side that you can wear to synagogue or church here:
From super tight- which I currently am not able to wear (still have some lbs to shed because underneath the clothes is a whole different story) to a more relaxed fit which I am wearing all the time I have picked out my favorite off the shoulder tops. A huge trend at the moment is a statement sleeve and ruffle! I’m all about the super tight off the shoulder top to wear with high waisted jeans and shorts- I just think it looks so chic. Whatever your mood is there is something for you that I have picked out.
Happy Friday!
So excited it’s the weekend! Chase has been out of town most the week so i’m super excited he gets back today. This weekend we plan on just hanging out with miss Chloe and enjoying one on one time with her. Tomorrow night we are going out to dinner with friends- so excited! My parents took Jake to Dallas & Madison until next week. While I really miss Jake- i’m super happy he’s enjoying time with his grandparents, aunt/uncle and cousins. It’s been raining here all week so I have no clue what I would have done with him here..
Onto Rompers- just like dresses rompers are so easy for the summer because you don’t have to think about matching a top with a bottom. If you’re in a rush and need to run out and still look stylish just throw on a romper and some cute sandals or sneakers!
