Happy Almost Summer!

Hi Guys!
Tomorrow marks the first day of Summer and I wanted to share some of my favorite denim shorts I’m loving at the moment. Because we live in Miami, I’m in denim shorts all year long – however, I know that my sister is especially thrilled to finally wear denim shorts because she lives in Madison, Wisconsin – which has really cold winters.

It’s officially summer tomorrow which means we are going to Madison next weekend + Colorado for two weeks at the end of July! When you have kids you can feel the difference when it’s summertime because you actually take it seriously and plan trips! The heat in Miami is absurd so we always try to go to colder climates. For example, I took Chloe to an outdoor mall yesterday and was chasing after her … I was sweating! The humidity is no joke here!

When it comes to denim shorts my favorite are high waist + short. I’m sorry to say but the Bermuda short I’m so not into – I don’t think they look good on anyone! If you are trying to hide your legs maybe do a baggier boyfriend short or opt for jeans with holes to get air:) Denim shorts have become so popular and all designers are making them so I wanted to show you the type of style I like the best. Hope this helps when selecting the perfect pair!

All About the Belt Bag/ Fanny Pack

Hi Guys!
It’s all about the belt bag- if you need to be hands free while holding your kiddos or if you want to drink your cup of coffee and not worry about a bag it’s the perfect accessory.

There have been so many instances where I have kept everything in my diaper bag and end up throwing my diaper bag in the trunk- and it just makes me feel like a mess because in reality I need my keys + wallet + phone with me at all times. This is where a belt bag comes in handy- It’s just so easy to wear and goes with everything from workout clothes, to dresses, to jeans!

I also love that if you have a loose fitting dress it’s totally functional as a belt. I wanted to share my top 5 with you. I decided on the YSL because I loved the color red + it fit really well. Every single designer has come up with their own take on this bag so they range from all different prices. It’s a trend I highly recommend going for- everyone needs a fanny pack:) Also not like I go to concerts on the regular- but it would be perfect for one.

Spring Wedding Dresses

Hi Guys!
Hope you had a fab week so far! It’s almost humpday (yay)! We have had so much going on between a charity benefit to a wedding to dinners to birthday parties, it’s just been non-stop! We are starting to take it easy now.. We went to a black tie wedding this past weekend and there were people wearing so many different types of dresses from ballgowns to even short dresses.

I think when people get invitations that say black tie they totally freeze and don’t know where to begin, so I wanted to share my top 10 dresses I am loving at the moment that are appropriate for cocktail/black tie weddings. I have been seeing the prettiest prints. Something else I’m loving are the one shoulder silhouettes and midi length. Of course I had to include some all black options because they are so flattering and you can never go wrong with a little black dress. Also i’m loving dresses with open backs- if you have the rights boobs go for it!

When it comes to spending on dresses I say buy something you love even if it’s pricey while keeping in mind that you will wear it to a lot of weddings to come (that’s how I justify everything)! PS when it comes to men if the invite say black tie that means it’s a tux for them. See below my favs!

Leopard Love

Happy Tuesday!

When it comes to leopard print I have always been a fan! I don’t know why but I think I just like that it encompasses a pattern while still having muted and neutral colors. I bought the Golden Goose leopard shoes a long time ago and I wear it so much! While in London I ended up getting another pair of leopardish shoes and have been wearing non-stop. Do you like to wear leopard? If so, do you prefer wearing the pattern as a clutch, shoes, dress, or top?
I wanted to share some leopard that I’m loving currently:

No Brainer Outfit

Hi Guys!!!
Sorry for being SO MIA! We have just had so many changes these past couple of months. We sold our house that we had lived in for six years so it was hard wrapping around my head around the whole thing! I sortoff didn’t really know where to start when we had to pack! We just grew out of it- and decided we wanted a pool and more space.

We are currently renting an apartment while we build our house. Our apartment couldn’t be more opposite of our old house- the living room and kitchen are tiny and the bedrooms are huge. We are also in the heart of Miami Beach so we feel like we are totally city living. We are so excited about the process to build our house! Let me know if you would like me to blog about the process. Would love advice if you have good recommendations etc! We are currently interviewing interior designers to help with picking out flooring etc and I think we found a good fit finally!

Over the weekend Chase was of course reading and handed me over a section all about Gwyneth Paltrow to read. I thought it was interesting that her go to outfit is a romper because it’s more trendy than a dress- but just as easy! I actually completely agree with her, I love rompers! Then I started thinking about a universal outfit that looks good on everyone and I thought of a white button down + denim shorts (if you don’t like shorts then opt for ripped denim) + a pair of sneakers! I truly am starting to wonder why I purchase anything but sneakers these days, they are all I wear. It’s just so easy with the babies. Now that i’m getting back in the groove of things- let me know if there are specific things you would like me to blog about.

Here are my top 5 button down tops i’m loving!

Mom Jeans

Hi Guys!
I’m not sure what made the change in my head because I always opted for skinny jeans but i’m loving the high waist mom jeans! They are so comfy and look so cool and edgy. If they are high waist you can wear them with a crop tee and some sneakers for a casual cool vibe. I also like wearing my mom jeans with a tucked in tee. I think the key to getting the right pair is making sure they are more of a slim cut- i’m really enjoying wearing mine! They should be on the looser side- but not too loose or it will look messy. I also like it when the length is somewhat cropped. If you are going out you can wear a heel:)

I wanted to share my top 5 with you here!
