Sun Hats Edit!

Happy Tuesday! If you see me at the beach/pool I ALWAYS have a hat on! It’s pretty much very time I’m outside walking or watching my kids play sports i’m always in a hat! I’m thinking as to why i’m always in a hat and I think it’s because I watched my mom always wear one. My grandmother yesterday actually told me my face looked pale- I wonder why! LOL! So whether you see me in a dress, one piece or two piece you will always see me in a hat!

Onto my hat edit- there are so many hats out there, you just have to try to see which looks best on and fits most comfortable on your head. I recently splurged on a Zimmermann one when I was helping a friend shop! I ended up buying it because it has a tie and I know I will wear every weekend! I also always keep a hat in my car.

Here are some of my favs:

Styling a pink mini skirt!

With Spring right around the corner- I wanted to show you how I’ve styled this pink skirt over the last month. Pink is such a fun beautiful pop of color! I love that this skirt is super versatile and you can wear with flats and heels. I styled the skirt with a white tee for a more casual vibe. When I wanted to look a little more “fancy and put together” I paired the skirt with a button down puff sleeve top.

As far as shoes go you can style this skirt with ballet flats, sandals, and heels. Not sure how I feel about styling it with sneakers- it looks I should be going to hit tennis balls! LOL! So for now i’ll hold off styling with sneakers!

I styled one of the looks with my green Bottega which I love! So don’t be afraid to add other colors when you style a pink mini skirt!

One pink dress styled three ways!

Hi Guys!

Happy Tuesday! Our kids didn’t have school yesterday so we went to the beach all day and it was so much fun! The only thing about going to the beach is that it’s imperative to go with another family with kids similar ages! I was watching the kiddos enjoying the waves and sand and it was so nice to see. The imagination that came from Chloe and her friends was so cute- they literally barely had toys, just each other sand and water! I didn’t grow up with a beach and I always told myself that I would either raise my kids near mountains or a beach. I love that it just gives you something to do always in nature. I went to the University of Denver and didn’t love snowboarding- so here I am- in Florida!

It felt amazing taking Chloe & Jake to school today! I am able to sit down and write in an empty apartment. I got this pink dress a couple of months ago and for some reason it just sat in my closet-which is very rare for me. When I get something new I feel like I wear it immediately! Anyways, I wore it for the first time for Valentine’ Day with my white Chanel 19 and my dad sandals- and I realized there really are endless ways to style a pink dress. Today i’m wearing it with gold sandals and my green bottega bag. I wanted to show you guys how you can style this this with nude sandals, high top sneakers and white heels! Which is your favorite way I styled it?

Mondays are for blazers

Hey Guys!

Sorry it’s been such a long time! My parents are in town and they had the kids for the weekend which was really nice and so needed- and I was able to sit down and write this! I totally do have the time during the week, but I haven’t felt the creativity lately.

I’m feeling extremely thankful that Chase and I were able to get a little one on one time. Saturday night we went to a super early dinner and got home and walked Chester for about an hour. It was so nice and something we would never do when the kids are home after we get home from a dinner! We were talking about how nice the time was alone, but we were really missing the kiddies and decided to go get them Sunday am!- We wanted to spend ALL Sunday with them. We took them to see the house- which was so nice!

Anyways onto this outfit! I feel like one year ago at this time we were all getting dressed up for Monday because we were going into the office. I want to ask- are we still getting dressed? Are we working from home in sweats/ workout clothes? I personally love to workout and come home and shower. That way I am able to get dressed for the day! Makes me feel so much better and I think so much more productive.

I ran into a neighbor downstairs last week and she mentioned that I always look cute and my response was “well I am not wearing workout clothes 24/7 and I just throw on pieces like dresses, jeans, shorts and tanks, etc”. I feel as though it’s so much easier to get dressed when you have 10 things in your closet you can just wear all the time. For me- this blazer, padded tank, and jeans combo is such an easy great look. This blazer was gifted from Veronica Beard and it’s such a good piece. I love love love it! I have styled it with black leather pants, dresses, and jeans. I also love it with denim shorts- will show you how I style with denim shorts soon!

My blazer is Veronica Beard (wearing a zie 4), jeans are Mother (wearing a size 25), tank top is Frankie (wearing a size xs), bag is Chanel, and sunglasses are Celine. Shoes are Chanel.

Chanel Sling Back vs Ballet Flat Debate!

Hi Guys!

Yesterday in stories I posted that I was wearing my Chanel sling backs. One of the many questions I got after I posted: are the Chanel sling back shoes more comfortable than the ballerina flats? OMG there is no freaking comparison- the sling backs are way more comfortable! I don’t know what it is about the Chanel ballet flats but they kill my feet! I’m wondering if I should sell the denim pair but I keep thinking I will hopefully break them in one day (I have had them for one year)! I guess this year we haven’t had much of a chance to wear anything… I wear the same size in both styles- 38.

My right foot in the sling backs kept slipping off, so I took them to the shoe repair and they shortened the strap in the back. I said to the guy at the shop- please be careful, they are Chanel and he responds I don’t care what brand the are! LOL- DUH he’s so right! For those of you who live in Miami Beach, I use Art of Sole shoe repair, and I highly recommend. Last March we went to an outdoor wedding. I was wearing my Manolo Blahnik lucite heels and destroyed them. They totally fixed them!

Anyways if you are going back and forth between sling back and ballet, go with the sling back! I also have the heel version and they are pretty comfortable for a heel!
